I was born and raised on the Hibiscus Coast, North of Tāmaki Makaurau. I studied my Visual Art Degree at AUT (Auckland Unviersity of Technology) and have been teaching art workshops at the local Estuary Arts Center in Ōrewa. Recently I have moved down to Ōtautahi (Christchurch) where my partner and I are settling.

I’ve had almost every job under the sun, and yet I return to art like a lifeline.

During my time at university my lecturer invited me to her friend’s exhibition opening night. In the dimly lit top level I held a champage glass and heard artists talk ‘art talk’. She was inspiring and I felt so at home, like finally I’d found somewhere I fit. At that moment I knew… I couldn’t be anything else- I HAD to be an artist.
I AM an artist.

I know not everyone is born to be ‘'an artist’’ or even make art everyday. However, I am passionate about helping others connect to their creativity - however that may look! That could just be by appreciating one of my art prints - or it could be getting involved in a workshop. Our connection to creativity is our connection to the world and each other.
